Was Mother Teresa actually sort of a jerk?

Anew study claims the beloved nun might not have been as helpful tothe poor as she could have been
It'shighly likely that one day, the Catholic Church will officiallyrecognize MotherTeresaas a saint, a position she's held in the popular imagination foryears. A new study in the religious studies journal Religieuses, however, says that the late Mother Teresa's reputation is mostly hype— a result of a church declining in popularity trying to boost itsimage.
MotherTeresa's biggest supposed sin? According to theTimesof India,it was "her dubious way of caring for the sick by glorifyingtheir suffering instead of relieving it."
Howdid researchers reach this controversial conclusion? The team ofCanadian researchers studied nearly 300 documents, and discoveredreports of poor hygiene standards and a shortage of medicine, supplies, and care in Mother Teresa's 517 "homes for the dying"— although not for lack of cash. According to the report, herorganization, the Order of the Missionaries of Charity, receivedhundreds of millions of dollars in donations.

Maybe she'll become the matron saint of publicity, marketing and mass advertising.
[Romney's] vision of humanity is just a million tons of meat floating around in a sea of base calculations. He’s like a teenager who stays up all night thinking of a way to impress the prom queen, and what he comes up with is kicking a kid in a wheelchair. Instincts like those are probably what made him a great leveraged buyout specialist, but in a public figure? Man, is he a disaster. It’s really incredible theater, watching the Republicans talk themselves into this guy.

Isn't that the Pope's job? I ask because I am under the impression that the Pope is God's top representative on Earth. Thus, the Pope isn't responsible for creating the religion, that has already been done by God.
