I've actually known about this phenomenon for a while now. The method a swan takes to protects it's eggs is to leap up to an animal's head or face and beat its wings as fast as possible. A swan's wingspan is so enormous that when it beats its wings fast enough it literally creates a vacuum that disorients and eventually suffocates the animal it attacks. Swans can be very dangerous, and this is by no means the first time someone's been killed by one.

Wow! We also have swans and geese right down the road where I walk my dog. I have heard that swans can be very nasty birds!

I guess the good thing for me is it would most likely be one against three . My dogs weigh 76 and 99. Together we have 10 legs. That's 10 against two. LOL
