Specter had all the endorsements, money, and so forth. Yet Sestak won!

What does that tell you about our power? What does that say about the "power" of the established politicians?

We have the power! Now let's use it!

I'm not saying that you're wrong, I just don't think there really is an "anti-incumbent" fervor out there like the media would like us to believe. I mean... find me one election cycle in which there were no incumbents in danger of losing their jobs.

Plain and simply, Specter's shiftiness finally caught up to him and Sestak handled it brilliantly. I believe that this was the last ad Sestak put out before the election. It's as near to perfect as a political ad can get, IMO. It uses footage that lets Specter hang himself.

[Romney's] vision of humanity is just a million tons of meat floating around in a sea of base calculations. He’s like a teenager who stays up all night thinking of a way to impress the prom queen, and what he comes up with is kicking a kid in a wheelchair. Instincts like those are probably what made him a great leveraged buyout specialist, but in a public figure? Man, is he a disaster. It’s really incredible theater, watching the Republicans talk themselves into this guy.

While I like (a lot) the result. My fear is that this could speed up efforts to end net neutrality since it was, in part the internet that helped in Spector's (and other DINO's) defeat tuesday. And now has become a future threat to them gaining/holding power.

I explained my views on why the anti-incumbency is really working this year in another thread. Literally anyone can do their homework on politicos in seconds where before it woudl require hours in a Library burning out your retinas looking at microfiche.
