The move, which amounts to subsidies of about $23,000 per worker, could help safeguard 13,000 jobs in the state. Safeguard only 13,000 jobs?

Sorry for my response but saw many more lost jobs here, and I know thousands have lost jobs in Detroit.
That's alot of money to save what seems so few jobs.

Would you rather let it all go to China or Mexico?

Of course not.
I also would like to see that investment help more people's jobs there.

At least they are doing what they can --- investing now for their states enconomy ... 1 job spins off 3 others.

Think of those losses if Michigan DIDN'T invest in it's future? I guess they do what they can ... something is better than nothing.

That's true.
Gonna be strange when people won't have the money to buy that fuel Bushco is looking to make money off of and all those jobs are out sourced.

Of course nobody will ever accuse George Bush of caring about the welfare of the American people. It will be Katrina like conditions everywhere.

Ah -- I wouldn't go that far ... too many Rich Neiborhoods to maintain.

Generally speaking we're slowly sinking ... we havn't hit critical mass yet, where the downward spiral could never recover, but what we need to do is get out of all the US debt to other countries and beef up our middle class instead of tearing it down.

That's gonna take the end to endless wars, contrator wastes, no bid contracts and reeling in some damn good fiscal responsibility. Bush is a kid in a candy shop with a $100.00 (he borowed form us and other countries) and he don't care what candy he buys as long as it goes to him and his buddies. The others can lick the candy wrappers.
