You should see everything here for the past 2 days....ice on everything.
I might try and take some pics. Don't want to freeze my poor camera.
Was 13 degrees this AM.
Spent the day working in a building with no power and the temp was 40 degrees in the place.
Had to use flashlights to use restroom.
That's why I get the lousy pay I guess...lol.

This is taken from the road that runs parallel South of the Erie Canal here where I live.
The old towpath is on the other side of the canal.
People run, walk and bike on the towpath all the time.
It's great and peaceful too.

See that space between those trees?
That's where we use to have a one lane bridge over the Erie Canal.
On the left side of the space in the trees is Orleans County and on the right side is Monroe County.
And to the right of that fence is an old restaurant, closed over 30 years, built out in the middle of nowhere called The Dewitt Clinton. Clinton was our governor in New York and the canal used to be called "Clinton's Ditch".

I grew up on the road that used to run right over that bridge.

Those are pics of a waterfall behind my folks house.
It runs into the creek showed in the third pic.

The creek is in a ravine behind my folks house, and I risked breaking my neck climbing down there to take those pics.

Cool. The Erie Canal is about 100 yards from my office. We can snowmobile on the towpath . . . if we ever get any snow! I sit near the canal almost everyday on lunch.

Cool waterfall pics.

This one is about 1/2 mile from my house. It's pretty much a rite of passage to jump off of it even though at least one person has to be airlifted out every summer.

Just a couple years ago I filmed a couple guys kayak off of it. What a trip!

Wasn't until just now that I realized I have never taken any good pics of it.

I wonder if that's an old broken down mill standing up there?

It is a mill. Good eye. It's gone now. Hardly a trace of it left.
