Raise Retirement Age Now, Actuaries Say ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

Actuaries are urging policy makers to raise the retirement age as the first step to shoring up Social Security and keeping younger workers from bearing the brunt of painful tax increases.

As a guy who retired at 59, nearly a year and a half ago, my preference is to dock the lifelong pensions of the elected bastards who just could not keep their hands off the money in the Social Security fund, and had to use it as part of the general revenue.
Congress, not the retirees screwed the pooch on this, and they are the ones who should pay to rescue it.

I would love to be able to communicate this idea to the Democratic Congress, especially Pelosi, but I am sure it would never be noticed by those worthies. They have for decades scaring us all with reports of the demise of Social Security, and they should know - they killed it.

Socialism, you know, and therefor bad for America. :SoapBox:
