When we were in Los Angeles last August, I arranged to get tickets to see a Maher rehearsal. It was taped at the CBS building. They brought us in ... there were only about 60 of us. We sat right in front of Bill, not more than about 30 feet from him. My 18-year-old son was very impressed at how small the place was. (He's a big fan.) At any rate, Bill came out and did his monologue, then they rehearsed the main discussion part with three folks subbing for the eventual guests. Then he did New Rules with a couple that didn't make it to the show. All in all, it was a fun time and it was free. If you can see a taping, you should.
