Republicans claim these are "Positives" and "Accomplishments"

Tax Relief, Tort Reform, Bankruptcy Reform, Conservative Judicial Nominations including Alito, Brown, Roberts, etc., reductions in Discretionary Spending, rejecting KYOTO, rejecting INTERNATIONAL COURTS, strengthening our Military including substantial pay increases, the PATRIOT ACT, breaking the Gorelick Wall, battled the UN, crushing Terrorists in the GWOT, never appeasing North Korea-Iran-Iraq, creating competition in Medicare (which will reduce our burden-cost of intensive care-the aging populace), TESTING in Education-providing needed standards-guage on the already massive investment, etc, etc...

Not too shabby, especially knowing Democrats would do the exact opposite...

Many of these accomplishments are favored by democrats, Repukes just spin them differently. Of course any person might disagree, but most state democrat platforms and the national platform speak to these issues. Dems want Tax Relief, though we want it to go to the working class and not to the Donald Trumps. Dems support Tort Reform, but not unconstitutional damage caps and limiting the rights to have grievances heard in court. Dems want Bankruptcy Reform to ensure protection of the poor from usurious creditors. Of course Democrats oppose conservative judicial nominations who seek to set back 200 years of social progress. Democrats want reductions in needless spending and strengthening our Military including substantial pay increases and increases to VA services.
We support Kyoto, but many dems are divided on international courts having jurisdiction over our soldiers, I for one reject the jurisdiction of an international court over a US soldier. There are parts of the Patriot act I support, an I wish it were limited to true terror prevention and not used to harass people carrying around a joint. This is about spin, and we need to speak up and not let them take these issues from us.

Kyoto Treaty

A strong majority of Americans favors the US abiding by and ratifying the Kyoto Treaty even when presented with the key arguments for and against the treaty. Only a minority is aware that President Bush opposes participation in the Kyoto Treaty. When respondents are told that that President Bush has decided to not abide by the Treaty approximately half oppose the decision while a fairly small minority supports it. A strong majority opposes his decision to not pursue reductions of carbon dioxide emissions and thinks he should propose develop some plan for reducing emissions. When the Kyoto Treaty was being negotiated in 1998 a strong majority supported the level of emissions cuts proposed, even when informed that the US had originally sought less-deep cuts, and a plurality leaned toward deeper cuts.

Thats why it has been so friggin hot! That is why my fish are practically swimming in mud rather than the water I once had in my pond. He also cut the clean water act and has turned the clock back on many environmental problems we are facing today!
