You know, the sedentry 9-to-5-go-home-or-to-other-job-to-stand-around lifestyle?
Allergies in particular; The rate of suffering from allergic and immune diseases such as asthma, diabetes, eczema and Crohn's disease has steadily increased in recent years. Interestingly, these disorders are on the rise only in industrialized societies, not the developing world.

So with the US now developing the 3rd world countries, how long before they start getting all these problems too?
And if they're on the rise, who is taking notice of "what's different" and re-educate the masses accordingly?
