Conspiracy Types Lecture Regular Folks at Ground Zero

The fifth anniversary of 9-11 brought more sorrow and anguish to New York, but also more questioning of the official narrative of the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

Hundreds of 9-11 conspiracists paraded across the street from ground zero Monday with their brazen signs—"9-11 WAS A U.S. BLACK OP"—during the solemn reading of the names of the 2,749 who perished in the twin towers. A surprising many people stopped to listen and seriously consider the "proof" offered by members of the so-called 9-11 truth movement ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), who spent the day lecturing people about how the towers were felled by explosives. (See the photo slideshow here ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).)

Whoa, no offense: Conspiracy guy has to back off "Well, I do have questions," remarked one woman who came by on her lunch hour. "Like how were these hijackers who could barely fly a Cessna supposed to have piloted big planes into these buildings?"
A manic guy with bleach-blond hair seized on that to launch a rant about the maximum flame temperature of jet fuel and the physics of molten steel, dismissing recent efforts by the U.S. State Department ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) to counter such rampant, freeform "expertise" as yet more "propaganda."
"Idiots!" shrieked a man overhearing him. "You guys probably believe Elvis is still alive."
But if people have doubts about what happened, it shouldn’t be surprising considering the lengths the Bush administration has gone to manipulate 9-11 and distort pre-war intelligence to justify the war in Iraq. And when people needed clear information about the air quality downtown, the feds instead gave them false assurances ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).
If truth is the first casualty of war, the Bush administration committed a massacre. A startling 36 percent ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) of Americans now believe the Bush administration either perpetrated the attacks or failed to stop them because it wanted to go to war in the Middle East.Â

Taking their message straight to ground zero Forty-two percent ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) of Americans believe the U.S. government and 9-11 commission are in some way covering up the truth of 9-11, according to a Zogby poll in May.Â
Particularly egregious is that the Republican co-chair of the 9-11 Commission, Thomas Kean, agreed to be a paid advisor to ABC’s myth-making docudrama "The Path to 9-11 ([Only registered and activated users can see links])," which was scripted by conservatives ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), and which aired last night amid frequent references to its containing "composite" characters and incidents, and "time compression . . . used for dramatic purposes."Â
If the person charged with investigating the "truth" of 9-11 lends his name to a partisan, fictionalized version, what are people supposed to believe?

They miss the entire purporse of our demonstration: To bring attention to all the un-answered questions surrounding 9/11, and to call for an independant investigation.

But, at least we got some coverage.

They miss the entire purporse of our demonstration: To bring attention to all the un-answered questions surrounding 9/11, and to call for an independant investigation.

But, at least we got some coverage.

Here is how I'm noticing the media seems to want to spin and or wants to focus on with regard to the 9/11 truth movement:

1) The Pentagon attack: "You don't think a plane hit the Pentagon?"

IMO, our answer should be: How is it, when our nation spends more on it's military than any other nation on earth, how is it ANYTHING AT ALL was allowed to hit the Pentagon? Why is the government holding back all but one of the surveillance tapes from the area that day? Why can't we see them?

2) "The 'conspiracy theories' out there are very hard to believe! Where is the evidence for any of these crazy theories??"

IMO, our response should be: The government's account of 19 hijackers and some boxcutters taking orders from a guy in a cave is a "conspiracy theory". Our government has not provided evidence this theory is what really happened on 9/11. We want answers to our questions that match up to the actual evidence of the day....not the other way around.

Do you know that this very day, at 6:20pm cst, a reporter on CNN, who was talking about the Chavez comments regarding 9/11, flat out said that CNN has aired SEVERAL TIMES the footage of the 757 plane parts that hit the Pentagon? That is a flat out LIE. I immediately wrote them and said that if they have the footage, why then didn't they air it right then and there ...AS THEY WERE CLAIMING that they have already aired it several times? I said, if you have this footage, WHY have you been hiding it for FIVE YEARS!??!?! PLEASE! LET'S SEE IT! Because NOBODY, not even YOU (CNN) have aired footage of pieces of a 757. Where are the wings? Where is the tail? The engines?

If any of you happened to see that report on Wolff's show, don't hesitate to write them and demand they air said footage immediately...what are they waiting for?

Sorry, back on topic: I'm glad there was at least some coverage of the protestors as well, Trap. We deserve a full independent investigation with our leaders testifying publically, under oath. We can't stop demanding it until we get it.

true, at least there was coverage!! as for calling you all conspiracy theorists.....I was watching the press conference calling for a new 9/11 investigation last night(I started a thread about that here) and (besides being overcome with emotion...once again....) watching Donna Marsh O'Connor (that's her name right? foggy brain this a.m.) say "I'm called a conspiracy theorist because I want to know the truth about what happened that day and why my daughter died." and that friends and family have distanced themselves from her and her sons because they think they're wacko trying to investigate the TRUTH about what happened that day. the truth is still not known folks. we NEED a new truly INDEPENDENT investigation now!!! I intend to write my congress people to call for this....hopefully by this weekend!
