Hey Kynd, do you remember a couple of months ago when somebody, I think it was Negroponte, granted the big telecommunications companies the authority to lie about illegal searches without warrants or something along those lines? I do remember that the next day all those phone companies were falling all over themselves to say that they had done nothing wrong.
Was that executive order actually broader than that, giving telecommunication companies the authority to lie about whatever, and on whatever venue?
Randi talked about ABC yesterday, about how this 9/11 docu-drama is illegal and she hopes those responsible get their pants sued off them for defamation. She also talked about how the media is obviously being used for propaganda campaigns, unabashedly this time and in complete defiance of reality and the sources the authors claim to rely upon.
My question is kind of basic here. Is it still illegal for corporations to lie to the public or not? Because I'm not convinced the President thinks so, and it sure does seem that the corporations are running under that assupmtion as well.

The corporate media has never spoken for us.
Once in a while we do get a little light like a Keith Olberman but usually it's corporate speak.
