Actualy I've heard that the term hermaphrodite is scientificaly incorrect since hermaphroditic life forms are that way naturaly where as intersexual humans are abnormal.

Kind oif like the word "abnormal" being scientifically incorrect, since science doesn't make judgments like that, eh?

Over at the RRMB, there was a poster there who was actually related to Ann Coulter by marriage.

He told a story about Ann at a family reunion. Apparently her extended family thinks she's completely insane, and she provided loads of evidence to support that opinion.

But they also think she's a woman.

It doesn't matter what her gender is. She is Ann Coulter, and she is a sick, deeply disturbed human being in need of help. There is no real need to talk about her gender.

No need to say "she's a man!"

No need to say "she's transgendered!"

No need to say "she's a woman!"

Now, if you want to talk about how ugly she is, or how sexually unappealing you find her, go right ahead. But recognize that those opinions are simply yours, and do not control reality beyond that. And they might reveal something about you.

Jeez.

Alas, no. I have been banned for several seasons.

GoldenEagle or something like it was his name, I think. I haven't been over there to take attendance. He called in once, before the banning. Total bubba, but you can be a leftist bubba! Like the Sarge on Mike Malloy.

I think Coulter is one cocktail away from being run over in a roadhouse parking lot.

You don't find the idea of all those overly narrow rednecks finding out they've been turned on for years by someone who's not 100% female funny?

You don't find the idea of all those overly narrow rednecks finding out they've been turned on for years by someone who's not 100% female funny? Not particularly. And since the premise is probably false, the "joke" loses even more potency.

And that you posted it in this section of the board kind of equates it to flaming, IMHO. But hey, at least it got people to look at the LGBT section, not that there was anything particularly interesting here.

And Bonnie? He just means "abnormal" as in "not a typical expression of the species." So both hermaphrodites and intersexed individuals would have both genders expressed physically, but for hermaphrodites it would be a species norm whereas for the intersexual there would be an abnormal cause.

Science does make judgements like that. If you were born with a third eye, scientists would call it "abnormal."

Change "oif" to "of."
That should clear up any issues, as the rest was unambiguous and absolutely clear.

And naturally you have a cite to the scientific literature which would support your assertion.

And naturally you have a cite to the scientific literature which would support your assertion. This from dictionary.com:

abnormal psychology

the branch of psychology that deals with modes of behavior, mental phenomena, etc., that deviate markedly from the standards believed to characterize a well-adjusted personality.

You can also learn more about it at [Only registered and activated users can see links] if you are so inclined.

Are you wanting something more professional, like footnoting? I do not consider that a reasonable request, but I certainly do not oppose you doing your own investigation.

Non-sequitur, but on the off chance -- what does psychology have to do with physiology/biology, which was the context?
Or is a discusion of statistically aberrant multiple genitalia in homo sapiens somehow a psychological sub-topic?

Sorry for not being pedantic enough. The context was, however, sufficient.

oh no...

that old chicken/egg... Cartesian dilemna.

just go with the idea of a sorta bell curve, lots of congested forms in the middle & some are more or less of certain characteristics.

normal is only NORMAL in a particular circumstance.

I mean, look at how many people have children who grow up to have children...

but none of those people would have lived more than a few months with a congenital (no, not genital) defect?

premature babies used to be rare, now a good portion of North America requires extensive medical intervention to reproduce...
