It's not BofA's stadium, unless BofA repossessed the building from the owner, Carolinas Stadium Corp.
Now, who owns the Carolinas Stadium Corp?
I think the Carolina Panthers have some of the ownership in the stadium:

They are a sponsor of the stadium.

They are a sponsor of the stadium.
I know that. But if the stadium is owned and operated by a private group that includes the Carolina Panthers, with no interest in the stadium belonging to BofA except for the naming rights, then my point is what is the big fucking deal that Obama will give a speech in a stadium that is not owned by BofA?

It's a big fucking deal because it is called BofA stadium, whether they own it or not. It's indicative of the corporate "person" rearing its ugly head again. Same goes for PacBell Park in SF.

In my view, if there is any criticism up to Obama's speech, the buzz after his speech will be what he said.
In my view, almost all venues large enough for the expected crowd is also named after a large corporation.
In the NFL, 14 of the 32 stadiums have been named after corporations. Imagine what would be said if the convention speech was held in Denver, where the stadium is named Sports Authority Field (Sports Authority is owned by Bain [Only registered and activated users can see links]).
Just my view, the focus should be on Obama, not the name of the stadium.
