This Sunday, Senator Leahy will appear on NBC's Meet the Press to discuss Justice John Paul Stevens' retirement from the Supreme Court, which was announced earlier today.
Justice Stevens' departure from the federal bench this summer will mark the end of an extraordinary judicial career, spanning four decades. Senator Leahy wishes Justice Stevens all the best in his retirement, and looks forward to working with President Obama and the Senate to confirm a well-qualified successor to the Supreme Court.
