The SoS has chosen two machines to comply with HAVA. The first is for handicapped voters and will be used in Nov. 2006. It is the IVS vote-by-phone.
The second is the LHS Associates optical scan unit. Towns are being given the option to replace their lever machines with the LHS machines for either the Nov. 2006 or Nov. 2007 elections. Demos are being held for elected officials (not sure why the public isn't invited). [Emphasis mine]
August Dates:
22nd - West Hartford Town Hall 10AM - noon.
24th - Greenwich Town Hall 10AM - noon
29th - New Britain City Hall 10AM - noon
30th - Torrington City Hall 10AM - noon Source ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
